Moving at work
Tour de Office aims to raise awareness about the health risks office workers face by sitting for prolonged periods of time. Research shows that sitting for over 4 hours per day greatly increases your risk of chronic disease, no matter how much exercise you do. Read more about the research here.
Tour de office is your ‘off-the-shelf’ workplace wellness solution. During the week-long relay event, organisations across Australia host stationary bike/s in their workplace and encourage staff to ride 30-minute legs to raise awareness about the real health risk facing office-bound workers.
Fundraising
Tour de office also offers participating organisations a chance to raise funds for their chosen charity through peer-to-peer fundraising. Events occur across the country twice per year and to date, the corporate cycle challenge has raised over $1.41 million.

What Past Hosts Say
FE Sports
“Tour de Office was a fantastic opportunity for different departments of our workplace to come together and work towards a common goal. I feel everyone who participated is now bonded together by the involvement in this event. A fantastic culture-building event.”
KordaMentha:
Tour de office is a fantastic and fun way to fundraise for a worthy cause alongside one of our major clients, Commonwealth Bank. The leaderboard encouraged some healthy competition and the office was buzzing during the week. I recommend Tour de Office to any organisation looking for an easy-to-set-up event to fundraise for their selected charity.
Wodonga TAFE:
I would definitely recommend Tour de Office to other TAFEs, universities and any organisation with large departments. Participating in this event helped to break down departmental barriers and enabled staff from around campus to engage with one another in a fun way. It brought staff together across the Institute and created a really positive atmosphere.
Coronis:
Coronis is fundamentally a healthy, active workplace which is why Tour De Office is a perfect fit for our culture. We love taking everything we do to the next level which is why we host the event out the front of our headquarters, dress up, promote it on social media and run competitions. It all benefits our chosen charity, so we like to have some fun with it!
Russells
“This is Russells’ third year participating in Tour de Office. We love it – everyone participates in some form even if they are not riding, a fun week where the office comes together to offer mentoring, support and encouragement to the riders also promoting movement around the office and supporting our charity, Mater Smiling for Smiddy.”
Ronald McDonald House:
Tour de Office has been a significant fundraising event for Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland. Tour de Office and McDonald’s did a wonderful job organising the event which will also increase awareness about the services we provide to our families. Funds raised during the event will go towards providing essential accommodation and support services for seriously ill children and their families
Starlight Children’s Foundation:
Motorama competed in the Tour De Office for Starlight Children’s Foundation with 5 different dealership locations participating in the event over the 5 days. I had the pleasure of participating in the challenge and cycled in one of the 30-minute time slots. It was such a great event to be a part of, with team members cheering each other on, offering words of encouragement, and of course great competition. The Tour de Office is definitely an event that brings teams together, encourages health and fitness and raises much-needed funds to support Starlight families living with serious illness. We cannot thank Motorama and Tour de Office enough. With this support, we are able to replace the fear, loneliness and isolation of hospitalisation with fun and laughter because sick kids are still kids!
